As part of the group's commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate care, Valley has established a comprehensive series of monthly continuing medical education programs designed to enhance the clinical and patient care skills of its providers. These programs are comprised of online and lecture presentations. The faculty for these programs includes physicians from within and outside of the group. In association with Banner Health, Valley is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide category 1 CME credits for these programs.
Valley emphasizes its commitment to the specialty of anesthesiology by participating in graduate medical education initiatives for medical students and residents. Valley collaborates in these endeavors with the following institutions:
In order to maintain the highest standards of clinical proficiency and quality, Valley conducts Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses monthly for its members. Valley members are actively teaching basic airway classes at the Banner Simulation Medical Center. The simulation center is the nation's largest virtual hospital, with a vision to "transform health care delivery through simulation, learning and research.''
