History
Valley Anesthesiology Consultants was formed in 1983 by a group of seven physicians. Since then, the practice has grown to more than 200 specialty-trained, board-certified anesthesiologists serving sites in over 25 facilities throughout Maricopa County and other communities in Arizona. Valley has long been recognized for providing the highest quality of peri-operative anesthesia care to the community. Several members hold board certifications in pediatrics and internal medicine, as well as anesthesia subspecialty fellowship training in critical care and pain management. Additionally, many Valley members are specialty-trained in the areas of pediatric, cardiac, and neurosurgical anesthesia.
Valley encourages its members to assume leadership roles within the community, with many of our physicians serving in leadership positions in local hospitals and surgery centers, as well as corporate and non-profit boards of directors. We also provide time for our members to take leadership positions in the Arizona Society of Anesthesiologists, the Arizona Medical Association and in the American Society of Anesthesiologists; several Valley partners serve the specialty of anesthesiology as national board examiners. The Valley Anesthesiology Foundation, formed in 2007, is another way our group serves others locally, nationally and internationally.
Our anesthesiology and pain management teams are comprised of healthcare providers with an unsurpassed breadth and diversity of clinical training and experience. Physicians in our group have graduated from residency, fellowship and specialty training programs at the nation's leading institutions.
